well. today is the last day of the Chinese New Year break which was supposed to last 5 days for me since last friday was also an off course of some meeting for the regulars. But, this good news wasnt to be mine as during the "GSAB CNY Celebrations", i was suddenly told that i had 2 replace Kobchai's Guard2IC duty on friday due to some carelessness in planning by my dearest officer. hahaz. tt also meant that i would haf 2 sleep in on CNY eve as i would b dead tired thus reducing my 5 days of break into the 3 days of CNY that we get off. hopefully, i get compensated duly for the extra shit that i had 2 do.
over the course of the past 3 days, there has been visiting, the munching on goodies and also the all important collection of hong baos (yes, im a money minded fool). however, every year whenever people compare their takings for the festival, im always left as the jealous guy sitting in the corner as my rewards are always so damn small compared to the rest. juz yesterday, after the dota outing, weili was discussing on how he got 400+ even though his maternal side of the family are all overseas. wow, even wif all my relatives in town, i still only got a whooping 170bucks. if i dun remember wrongly, thats already quite high compared to my previous year's takings! so i shd feel oh so happy.
today, there was soccer at shaun's place. interesting. lucky we arranged 2 play there cos the turnout was juz horrendous. at his place, there was another grp that were gonna play so we ended up playing tgt. the more the merrier. after soccer, went for lunch at the nearby hawker center and we talked abt all the happy times of ACS(BR). though ACS(BR) life was fun, i still tink that the life at CJC was the best so far. with all the Air Rifle peeps, my life was juz so entertaining. after lunch, juz went home and slept. reading through the Digital Life for today, i saw the article about the cool phones at some overseas convention. man, the Motorola RIZR Z6 is juz so nice. + theres green in the design! wad an attractive phone. gotta get my hands on 1 when it comes out in Singapore. wonder how long it will take to release in Singapore.
tomorrow marks the return to camp after the nice long break. looking at the current situation, i guess the field pack inspection will be tomorrow. luckily, my field pack is nicely packed oredi and thus there shdnt b much problems. i only worry abt my men not havin their field packs packed in the right manner then i get in trouble for not ensuring that their stuff are done the right way. thats the sad life of a specialist man. we get blamed from both the btm and the top. talking abt getting blamed from the btm. this morning i received a call from the RP on duty ytd. man, i shd haf known not to pick up. he called and told me that i had 2 activate a replacement as the RP that was on duty today still hadnt turned up at 755 even though the reporting time was 800. after going through so much trouble to ring other RPs up (most had phones off and those that were on, didnt pick up), they called back and told me that the RP on duty had finally woken up at a whooping 810. man, was he late. lolx.
thursday i have freakin duty. no mood 2 do duty after such a long break sia. i wanna go out and play the basketball machine and my initial d with my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4. though it got trashed ytd by a pro, im so not demoralised and will continue 2 strive on to improve my car. HA!
